Aislyn developed a love for music at a very young age. She has been training in piano since the age of four and recently completed her grade 8 piano examination. She has also been training in voice and music theory since the age of 7 and has completed her grade 8 vocal examination along with her Theory 4 co-requisite.

Along with her music training, Aislyn has been dancing since the age of 3 in styles such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. She has been apart of numerous productions put on by Studio One Dance: (Seussical, Wicked, Grease, and Cats). On top of her dance and music experience Aislyn has been apart of many groups and Productions put on by Vibe Music Performance Academy. For the last 3 years she has performed at numerous competitions and venues with the Competitive Musical Theatre Team singing and dancing to songs from Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, School of Rock and Matilda. She has also been included in two of Vibe’s largest shows Aladdin (narrator and dancer) and The Lion King (Nala). Aislyn made her directorial debut in our production of Matilda as co-director and choreographer for the show.

Aislyn’s background in the world of theatre and music has brought her to earn many awards at local competitions. She won six gold medals at the Lakehead Festival of Music and The Arts and also received two Judges Choice Awards at Thunderstruck Dance Competition for her performances. To add to her extensive training she has also attended many broadway musicals including Waitress, Bat out of Hell, Cinderella, Matilda, Wicked, The Lion King, Sister Act and Mary Poppins.

Aislyn looks forward to another exciting year ahead with the Vibe faculty and cannot wait to share her love for the arts with all of her students!
