Aislyn developed a profound love for music at a very young age and began her training at the age of 4. She has completed examinations in Piano, Voice, and Music Theory with Conservatory Canada, showcasing her proficiency and dedication in these musical disciplines.

In addition to her musical talents, Aislyn has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She trained at Studio One Dance in various styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre. Her commitment to dance is reflected in her successful completion of examinations in jazz, tap, and ballet with the British Association for Teachers of Dance (BATD).

Aislyn has also been involved with Vibe Performing Arts Academy, performing in various competitions and venues with the Competitive Musical Theatre Team and played key roles in Vibe’s major shows: Aladdin (narrator and dancer) and The Lion King (Nala). Aislyn made her directorial debut as co-director and choreographer for Matilda in 2020. Committed to continuous skill development, she studies piano with Derek Oger and dance at Art in Motion in her spare time.

Aislyn’s background in theatre and music has earned her many awards and accolades, including numerous gold medals at the Lakehead Festival of Music and The Arts, Advancement to the Provincial Music Festival, Judge’s Choice Awards at Dance Competitions, and the highest overall mark in the 2022 Lakehead Festival of Music and the Arts for her performance of “Cabaret.”

When not sharing her love of the performing arts with her students, Aislyn is studying her Bachelor of Applied Life Sciences with Concentration in Biomedical Sciences at Lakehead University and spends her summers working at Walt Disney World!
